Not only was the premise of this book a bit silly, but it was also poorly explained. He spent more time trying to describe fight scenes between the people and these mutant penguins, and attempting to use clever words (which were incorrectly used and left you baffled as to why he chose that particular word) than he did discussing the why and how of the problem. There was plenty of content that left you wondering why it was included at all (such as the awkward sex listening scene...yes, he described a sex scene from the point of the people outside the room who were essentially forced to listen in). This was one of those novels that I longed to stop reading it, but it was my free Prime book for the month and I felt I had a duty to finish it.
I gave it two stars because other than the ridiculous attempts at using words he did not understand, his grammar and punctuation were correct.
It was a fun read and very entertaining.
